Day 1 - Delhi
Arrive Indira Gandhi International Airport. Meet, assist at the airport and transfer to your hotel. Spend time in Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India. Visit the massive Red Fort, Chandni Chowk and Raj Ghat - the site where ‘Father of the Nation’ - Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. Visit the Qutub Minar - a 72 meter high monument, and Humayun’s Tomb built in mid 16th century. Also visit the Lotus Temple. Drive past India Gate, the Presidents House, Safdarjung’s Tomb & the Parliament and Overnight at Delhi.
Day 2 - Delhi - Shimla
This morning after breakfast, checkout from Hotel & drive to Shimla (343 kms / 7 hrs). Shimla, the former summer capital of British India, is set amidst the snow capped Shivalik Mountains, and offers some of the most stunning views of the mighty Himalayas. On arrival at Shimla check in at the hotel. Overnight at Shimla.
Day 3 - Shimla
This day after breakfast proceed for sightseeing in and around Shimla. Visit Kufri - at an altitude of 2,622 meters, it is famous for its trekking and hiking trails, and snow-covered slopes for skiing and tobogganing. In the afternoon go on a walking tour of Shimla, visiting the Jakoo hills that offer a panoramic view of the town, the Vice Regal Lodge and Mall Road. Overnight at Shimla.
Day 4 - Shimla – Manali
This day after breakfast check out of your hotel and drive to Manali (274 kms /8 hrs). Stop enroute for great photo-ops of the Beas River, Kullu valley, Dashehra Maidan etc. On arrival check in at the hotel. Manali is a picture-perfect hill resort at an altitude of 1,929 meters Set amidst snow capped peaks, the beauty of Manali is enhanced by the Beas river with its clear water, meandering through the town. Overnight at Manali.
Day 5 - Manali
This day after breakfast proceed for sightseeing of Manali. Visit the 450 years old temple dedicated to Hadimba Devi, which showcases some excellent woodcarving. Also visit Manu temple and Vashisht Kund, known for its hot sulphur springs. Evening free for shopping at the local Tibetan market. Overnight at Manali.
Day 6 - Manali
This day after early breakfast proceed for to Rohtang Pass (weather permitting). Enroute stop at Solang Valley. Rohtang Pass (altitude 3940 meters) is 51 kms from Manali, but due to heavy snow covering the road, this pass is not accessible for almost 8 months of the year. In the evening return to Manali with time at leisure for individual activities. Overnight in Manali
Day 7 - Manali – Chandigarh
This day after breakfast check out of your hotel and drive to Chandigarh (275 kms - 7 hrs) to board train to Delhi. Arrive Delhi, meet & assist at railway station & transfer to Delhi International airport to board flight to your onward destination.
